Coating Thickness Gauge with built-in probe Measures F and NF bases
PTG-3500HFN can perform two different methods of calculating thickness measurement by utilizing the characteristics of both eddy current and magnetic induction. It can easily detect the thickness of non-magnetic coating on a magnetic substrate (ferrous) or an insulating coating on a non-magnetic conductive substrate (non-ferrous) utilizing an integrated probe.
The F probe detects the thickness of non-magnetic materials such as paint, plastic porcelain enamel, copper, zinc, aluminum, chrome, etc. on magnetic materials such as iron, nickel and etc. It is widely used to measure the thickness of galvanizing layer, lacquer layer, porcelain enamel layer, phosphide layer, copper tile, aluminum tile, some alloy tile, paper, etc. The NF probe measures the thickness of non-magnetic coatings on non-magnetic metals. It is widely used in anodizing, varnish, paint, enamel, plastic coatings, powder applied to aluminum, brass, non- magnetic steel, etc.
